Basic Mash Potatoes Recipe

          Bored of your daily rice routine? Well here is a simple recipe about mash potatoes.

          Ingredients
          Potatoes
          Black pepper powder
          Butter 
          Milk
          Salt

  1. Add salt,water and potatoes into the pot and start to boil for about 40 minutes to 1 hour.
  2. To check if the potatoes is fully cooked, use a knife and stab it. If it comes out smoothly and clean, congratulation you have become a professional potato killer.
  3. Remove the potatoes from the pot and peel it when it is hot. 
  4. Then, mash the potatoes in the pot with a whisk. 
  5. Add in butter,milk,salt, black pepper powder one at a time and stir quickly about 5 to 10 minutes with low medium heat. 
  6. "Ta pao" KFC chicken and eat with it while it is hot.

Facts:

  • Salt water helps to heat up the water faster. Thus, lesson the cooking time.
  • Do not boil the potatoes starting with hot water, as the outer layer will cook much faster than the inner. Hence, contributing to uneven cooking. 
  • It is way easier to mash the potatoes when they are hot.
